I live on the Isle of Wight and have not yet met another user of the Linux personal computer operating system or any of its side shoots (Debian, openSUSE, Fedora etc), I use three different versions of Ubuntu Linux which is a side shoot of Debian.
Linux is a free alternative to Microsoft Windows which is usually included in the price of a new PC (if you want to upgrade Microsoft Products you’ll be putting your hand in your wallet, purse or handbag).
When I have the time I’ll explain how to install one of the Ubuntu variants to your PC and maybe tell Isle of Wight people how to contact me if they want on-site help.
More musings and tips from an Ubuntu Linux user on the Isle of Wight will be here in the days to follow.
Am I the only Isle of Wight Ubuntu Linux User? If you’re one, or know of others, please let me know via the leave a comment link below.
